folks, its time again for my Annual Surf Fishing Seminar & Show. This year its
back to the Knights of Columbus in Seaford and the basics of surf fishing with
The Fishing Line Surf Fishing Seminar Thursday night September 12 at 7:30 p.m. Ill host the huge event covering a variety
of surf fishing topics and techniques anglers can put to the test the very next day
increasing their prowess on the beach. Well cover bait fishing with clams and
bunker, rigging eels and eel skin plugs for both south and north shores and some plugging
and lure techniques at Montauk and much, much more.
DETAILS. Admission is only $15 and $5 for
children. Again, as we did last year and no one else can match, the first 300 anglers
receive $50 packs of tackle! Thats over $15,000 in tackle from generous
sponsors including Tender
insect repellents, Bomber, Creek
Chub, Silver Thread, Daiichi,
FJ Neil, Uncle Josh, Strike King, Key Largo, Arts N Flies and others!
Everyone receives a free raffle ticket for the raffles, which include several more
thousands of dollars in goodies and a chance to win $1,000 in CASH! Doors open at
6:30 p.m., and the program begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.
STATE OF THE ART. As always we continue with new
surprises on the forefront of technology with high tech equipment. You wont want to
miss surf fishing action How-To segments on rigging eels, eel skin plugs, fishing bait in
the surf, tying teasers, rigs and all sorts of hands on stuff others can't show you.
Well have digital and TV cameras in the room displaying all the rigs, hooks,
leaders, plugs, hooking baits whatever we do on stage...everybody in the room will be able
to see! Well show footage from the TV show on how to read the beach and well
go out before the seminar to film techniques on how to fish certain plugs and get fresh
aeriel footage of your favorite beaches! All this live action from the beach brought into
the seminar room.
SPEAKERS. We dont use the same speakers others do
year in and year out spouting the same old stuff. "If you do not have a parobolic
E Glass surf rod then
you are wrong"...what kind of nonsense is that? Rather we bring new faces to the
seminar each year and this year we do the same with Joe Gullo, owner of West
End B&T in Long Beach. Mr. Gullo specializes in bait fishing for BIG
bass. Joes caught eight (8)
thats right eight 50-pound stripers!
Joe Gullo will cover in
detail bait fishing clams, bunker and eels in the surf, rigging giant eels and eel skin
plugs for big bass.
Due to popular demand after his presentation last year,
were bringing back Mr. Willie Young,
president of the Montauk Surfcasters Assoc. His presentation on Secret Hot Spots of
Montauk Point is aided with overhead, aerial footage and photography of all these spots in
Montauk Point from the south side at Camp Hero, all the way around the Point and north to
Gin Beach! All of which will be displayed on giant projection screen along with segments
on lures and how to use them in Montauk. I'll cover reading the beach and
plugging, tackle, terminology and safety along with beach courtesy. When my speakers and I
are done, well take a break and come back with a panel discussion to answer all your
questions in one session!
Theres even another seminar using the same folks
youve seen on my seminar stage over the last three years, talking about the same
things they covered for us
so there will be nothing new there either...so go figure?
There may be some ads and press releases about Joe's appearing somewhere else...but Joe
has confirmed he will only be appearing at our seminar at the Knights of
Columbus. Normally I never go into detail about other peoples projects, but due to
recent behind the scenes shenanigans and dirty pool, I feel I have to set the record
straight as to what and who will be where and when. Again we will lead the way in
audio-visual equipment and I have a few other surprises for you this year as well!
RAFFLES & PRIZES. As in the past, no one gives away more at their seminars than we do
