Jimmy Houston: Whether on
his television fishing show or in his Ranger Boat during the
Bass
Angler Sportsman Society (BASS) tournament trail, Jimmy Houston is one
angler who has placed great importance on the sport of family fishing fun
and reeling in the big'uns. Jimmy, a two time winner of the BASS Angler of
the Year title, has proved himself as a top contender and crowd favorite on
the BASS fishing tournament trail. His consistency in BASS has made him a
prominent angler. Houston was inducted into the National Fishing Hall of
Fame, Hall of Legendary Anglers and is an original inductee into the Pro
Bass Angler Association Hall of Fame, which is bestowed by the PBAA to
tournament anglers. The spark of Jimmy's career has been his television
shows. Now airing on ESPN2 with 74 million viewers is Jimmy Houston
Outdoors, a thirty minute spectacular of bass fishing and hunting
exploits. For 25 years this show has been on TV and has gained millions of
fans. In 1996, Jimmy introduced a new magazine format show, Jimmy's
Outdoor World, which airs on ESPN2 twice every Tuesday. This has
brought Jimmy the title of "America's Favorite Fisherman."
Rich Johnson:
Rich is a sponsor and producer of the NY National Boat Show

other regional events. Johnson is the host/creator of “The Fishing Line”

Kathy Magers:
Record-setting angler, boating instructor, freelance outdoor
writer,

lure designer, Women's National Fishing Champion and Texas Freshwater
Fishing Hall of Famer, Kathy has hosted two television series, OUTDOORS
USA (The Nashville Network) and FISHING STORIES (Home Sports
Entertainment). With a lifetime of fishing experience, including 18 years
professionally, plus fishing and filming TV shows with women from all across
the US, she has an extensive wealth of knowledge to pass on to others. With
20+ years of boating experience, Kathy is a Certified Boating Safety

Legendary bass angler, Larry Nixon, one of the ALL TIME leading
money winners on the B.A.S.S. professional tournament circuit, will give
seminars at the Show in conjunction with STRATOS Bass Boats
Capt. Desmond O'Sullivan:
Captain Desmond O'Sullivan has been fishing Long
Island's
North Shore waters his entire life. "Desi" has been written about in major
newspapers, has appeared as a guest on radio shows and as a speaker at
several local fishing seminars. After working for 11 years as a mate and a
captain, Captain Desmond joined the ranks of the Viking Fleet in Montauk and
in 2002, Captain "Desi" returned to his home port of Port Jefferson where he
now runs his own business and vessel, the Celtic Quest, and is considered
one of the best at his craft by the public and his peers.

Hudson and East Rivers of New York City since 1982. Specializing in big bass
and bluefish, "Chas" has been featured in Saltwater Sportsman and done
several episodes of The Fishing Hole with Jerry McKinnis for ESPN.
Captain Chas is an outdoor writer for NJ Angler Magazine and
Boating on the Hudson. Captain Chas has fished around the world in
search of a strong pull on a light rod, but still believes the best
fishing...for big fish and numbers of fish is right here in the New York
Harbor.

Capt. Joe LoCicero:
Capt. Joe is our Electronics installation expert and a fine captain
specializing
in Trolling with Wire Line. Capt. Joe will be covering both these topics
several times during the 9 day Boat Show. Make sure you look over the
schedule closely to see his time slots. Joe will be passing along tips and
secrets to installing marine electronics neatly, professionally and with a
minimal of cost! He will also go over the basics and advanced tips in
trolling wire line with shad rigs, bunker spoons and tubes and all the
tricks and tips to increase your trolling success.
Skip Lerman: Skip has
competitively fished the touring bass circuit for over 27 years,
with
five (5) Eastern Bass Championships under his belt, two (2) ABA Angler of
the Year Titles and many top three finishes. Skip is a featured lecturer in
the freshwater realm of bass fishing and has also made several appearances
on television with a variety of hosts and presented a number of seminars on

Captain Steve S. Fällon:
Runs this 23ft. modified fishing machine, designed with speed

Steve S. Fallon has 30 years experience fishing the North & South Shores for

Capt. Ron Onorato: Capt. Ron, a Montauk regular since 1973 and was a commercial rod
and reel fisherman for many, many years. Inshore trips for stripers, bottom
fishing, fluke and sea bass with a specialty on the Capt. Ron is summertime
cod and pollock fishing at Cox’s Ledge. Ron had five or more 50 pound
stripers in 2004 and is one the best there is on the East End.

Returning to speak at the third Women at the Helm (Ladies') Day

Craig DeFronzo: A native
of Hauppauge, Long Island, Craig cut his teeth fishing the Western Suffolk
Big Bass Belt, as well as Florida's famed big bass waters. In the early
nineties, Craig took a trip to the Ocala National Forest and caught a 13.9
lb. bass on a 6 lb. test. That was the turning point in his young angling
career as he switched over to the realm of finesse fishing. Craig adopted
all the "New" West Coast methods and reapplied them to his fishing in NY. To
date he has landed 21 bass over 7 lbs. on Long Island. A prolific writer, he
has had 41 articles published within the last 28 months.
