Jamaica Bay Flounder

and ideas on how to prepare the baits, how to fillet flatfish like flounder and many

Show #7
Father's Day Special
:
I shot this show with my dad and brothers as the special
guests for that week. On this show we sailed from Freeport
on the Island's western South Shore. The focus of this show however was not automatically the rigging, baiting and
action as always, although it is all there, but more so the relationship between fathers
and sons for the Father's Day weekend. My dad relays stories of how I started fishing and
how he got started, along with my brothers who all give interesting insight on getting
kids started in fishing and keeping them in fishing. A good family show.

Show #11
Summer Surf Kings
:This surf
fishing trip we did on the beaches of Long Beach, NY. Instead of the
usual bass and blues in the suds, we went kingfishing. Kingfish are a type of
"panfish" so to speak of and are really a tasty treat for those who eat fish.
Their numbers in the surf make them easy to catch, yet there is a science to it. On this
show we give detailed instruction on where to find kingfish in the surf line, the rigs we
use, tackle, rods and reels, how to prepare your fish by filleting or preparing it whole
for baking and how to prepare and slice bait. Kingfishing in the surf is a great way to
introduce kids to surf fishing because of the quick and constant action kingfish give.
This tape is a good way to get ready and prepare your kids for a day in the surf.
