Jamaica Bay Flounder: We shot the show in late April in Jamaica Bay fishing the Coney Island Flats looking for barn door flounder. Weather and hard winds forced us inside Jamaica Bay to fish around the Ruffle Bar area just east of the Marine Parkway Bridge. On this show we gave you the tackle tips & techniques, rigs and how to rig, bait and ideas on how to prepare the baits, how to fillet flatfish like flounder and many fishing tips on how to properly chum up flounder. We also gave you a small travelogue of the Jamaica Bay area and great catching action in this 30 minute show. Watch a trailer for this episode by clicking the projector icon.
East River Stripers: This episode was shot in December with Capt. Joe Shastay of NY Harbor Sportfishing Charters. This was an exciting trip as we caught a couple of dozen striped bass in the East River from the Statue of Liberty to the 59th St. Bridge. The scenery was wonderful as we took you on a scenic voyage up the East River while catching this area's favorite game fish...the striped bass. In this episode we gave detailed instructions on how to cast a fly rod including false casting and roll casting, what to bring on a road trip, proper casting techniques, fly choices and lots of action. Father's Day Special: I shot this show with my dad and brothers as the special guests for that week. On this show we sailed from Freeport on the Island's western South Shore. The focus of this show however was not automatically the rigging, baiting and action as always, although it is all there, but more so the relationship between fathers and sons for the Father's Day weekend. My dad relays stories of how I started fishing and how he got started, along with my brothers who all give interesting insight on getting kids started in fishing and keeping them in fishing. A good family show. Watch a trailer for this episode by clicking the projector icon.

Summer Surf Kings:This surf fishing trip we did on the beaches of Long Beach, NY. Instead of the usual bass and blues in the suds, we went kingfishing. Kingfish are a type of "panfish" so to speak of and are really a tasty treat for those who eat fish. Their numbers in the surf make them easy to catch, yet there is a science to it. On this show we give detailed instruction on where to find kingfish in the surf line, the rigs we use, tackle, rods and reels, how to prepare your fish by filleting or preparing it whole for baking and how to prepare and slice bait. Kingfishing in the surf is a great way to introduce kids to surf fishing because of the quick and constant action kingfish give. This tape is a good way to get ready and prepare your kids for a day in the surf. Watch a trailer for this episode by clicking the projector icon.
